Our study with Psalm 76 entitled ” ‘Dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?’ (Rev_6:10 , Deu_12:1-2)” is available here.
This Psalm has made clear that God will “avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth” by giving us an experience of evil that we must endure until the end (Ecc 1:13 , Mat 24:13) in order to reign under Christ as a kind of first fruits who have been brought to maturity through the gift of being able to endure the afflictions and persecution and tribulation which we endure through or by abiding in Christ the vine who gives each joint something to supply to the whole body (Joh 15:5 , Eph 4:16).
Ecc 1:13 I applied my heart to inquiring and exploring by wisdom concerning all that is done under the heavens:it is an experience of evil Elohim has given to the sons of humanity to humble them by it.[CLV]
Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Eph 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
He is the vine who is our source of maturing and in order for fruit connected to the vine to come to maturity it must be judged (1Pet 4:17). Our word is what will judge us in that day Christ says (Mat 12:36-37) whether we speak the truth or whether we are yet carnal, whatever comes out of our mouth (heart) is the fruit that will determine our maturity at any given time. This process of maturing humbles us to our core as we realize that regardless of how much we water or plant, it is God alone who gives the increase and the desire for that matter to also water and plant (1Co 3:6).
1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
Mat 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Mat 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
1Co 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
God’s elect are predestined to have the word purified in our heavens through crushing fiery trials in this age (Mat 21:44 , 1Pet 4:12) that will bring us to our wits end (Psa 107:27-28). It is our blessing and gift in this age to no longer be part of the generation that have confidence in our flesh, but rather are blessed to experience judgement today so that our confidence is in God alone.
Mat 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
1Pe 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
Psa 107:27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.
Psa 107:28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
Mercifully God’s judgement upon us today is setting the stage for all the world to one day come out of that spirit of denial that says they see (Joh 9:41). God has allowed for this blindness for a season and in the worlds unbelief we are being served and prepared (Rom 11:30-31) to do the work that our Father has been preparing us to do from the foundation of the world (Eph 1:4 , Eph 2:10)
Joh 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
Rom 11:30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
Rom 11:31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
