(Our 5-part study with Psalm 105 — including video, audio and notes — is available here)
This entire study was about giving thanks unto the LORD for His faithfulness to admonish us and help us apply several spiritual principles that are paralleled in the driving world of vehicles.
The five part study was broken into the five major disciplines that can keep us safe and greatly reduce accidents when driving. The same is true spiritually, and the Lord is maturing us to be better able to not cause others to stumble even though we know that we are predestined to fall a symbolic seven times (Pro 24:16, Job 5:19).
Pro 24:16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
Job 5:19 He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
The last part of the study concludes with some final overall principles that again are related to physical behaviors when driving but most certainly have their application in our narrow walk in the Lord. Here are those points.
Rom 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.
Rom 14:14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
Rom 14:15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
Rom 14:16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
don’t change your lane to often:
Pro 24:21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:
Pro 24:22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?
check your blind spot:
2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
2Co 13:6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.
All these instructive admonitions that we can follow as the Lord leads us does lead us (Rom_8:14-17) so that God can be glorified in our lives as the light of the world he has called us to be. “Make sure people see you”, Christ in you and “O give thanks unto the LORD” for all these wonderful works unto the children of men.
Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. [Gal 4:6]
Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
