The Milk Doctrines: The Doctrine Of Eternal Judgment

By Ayo Fabiyi and Mitch Kuhn

[Posted July 8, 2011]

Heb 5:12-14 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. [13] For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: [partakes and continues only on milk] for he is a babe. [14] But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Heb 6:1-3 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance From dead works, and of faith toward God, [2] Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. [3] And this will we do, if God permit [God willing].

This is the last part of the doctrines that makes up the ‘Milk’ of God’s word, the first principles of the oracles of God. The depth of God’s judgments and manifold examples cannot all be covered in this study, but we shall be examining some of the core principles and purpose of such judgments. We shall be looking at how God’s judgments in our lives will bring us into Maturity, full of age, to spiritual completion, and how we will be using what we have learned in judgment for the purpose of God in the age to come. First of all, we must ask;

ETERNAL JUDGMENT – IS IT REALLY ETERNAL?

There is a deep ditch that has swallowed many followers of Christ from progressing in the righteous way of the Lord, primarily because of the lack of understanding and failure to get a hold on the meaning of the Hebrew and Greek words often translated as “eternal”. This is a great mistranslation and is a ditch that many blindly fall into.  And many being left alone without studying it do not understand the meaning and use of the word eternal. All that is built upon this erroneous foundation is more error and an abyss of many false doctrines into which many fall, causing the many simple and sincere followers of the Lord to be deceived. When a key foundational word in the scriptures like the word aion, often translated as eternal, is completely misunderstood, the foundation of understanding is destroyed.

Psa 11:3 If the foundations be destroyed, [foundation of the meaning of the word aion “eternal”] what can the righteous do?

Psa 82:5 They know not, neither will they understand [God’s judgments and time]; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course [shaken].

Mat 15:13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.

Mat 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

This is the time to pluck up from the roots the error which has been planted in you (Ecc 3:2), and replace this great mistranslation with a pleasant plant of truth. This is a word that must be thoroughly understood in order to progress onward to any strong meat of the Word and understand the principles of God’s judgments. This is dealt with on the website iswasandwillbe.com already and in many other places and articles. Please use the search engine on the site for further studies and understanding.  A few links to them are:

Note: Search for “eternal is not a scriptural word”.

Such is its overall importance in the Scripture that we will touch on this word aion being translated eternal again.  Our modern English word eternal means WITHOUT a beginning and WITHOUT an end. In the Holy Scriptures, the Greek word is aionios, and the corresponding Hebrew word is olam. The root for aionios is the noun aion. The English equivalent of the Greek word aion is eon or age. It is defined as a PERIOD OF TIME. A period of time has a  BEGINNING when the age began, and THE MIDDLE/DURING the age, and as seen many times in the scriptures, there is an END of the time or age, where the age is ended.

The scriptures teach that God existed and was doing things “before the ages began”.

1Co 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world [Greek aion  before the ages Strong’s 165] unto our glory:

The New King James states it correctly:

1Co 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,

2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

The word translated as ‘world’ here is the Greek aion, an age. It is not Kosmos, Strong’s G2889, which refers to physical orderly arrangement of this physical world, as in the cosmos, and the study of it being cosmology.

The Young’s Literal Translation correctly translates:

2Ti 1:9 who did save us, and did call with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, that was given to us in Christ Jesus, before the times of the ages,

Tit 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Again the Young’s Literal Translation correctly translates:

Tit 1:2 upon hope of life age-during, which God, who doth not lie, did promise before times of ages,

Now, God the Father through the Lord Jesus Christ begins to put his plans into action, ready to be fulfilled in His creative process, in a plan for the ages.

Act 15:18  Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. [Greek. = Age-“ aion”]

A better translation:

Act 15:18 Known from the eon to the Lord is His work. (CLV)

The “Son of God” then came into the ages, which has a beginning and an end. The Son of God became FLESH, John 1:14, taking on the form, likeness and appearance of man. Php 2:6-9 He laid down ALL his Form, and left the realm of the Spirit, a realm above and beyond our physical age, and entered the realm our world, our age, in our flesh. The scriptures bring out this process of times;

THE BEGINNING of the age:

Eph 3:9  And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

A correction again in YLT:

Eph 3:9 and to cause all to see what [is] the fellowship of the secret that hath been hid from the ages in God, who the all things did create by Jesus Christ,

A PRESENT AGE, ”THIS AGE”, NOW!

Tit 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; [Greek – Age “aion”]

Once again corrected in the New King James version:

Tit 2:12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

Eph 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world [Greek – Age “aion”] but also in that which is to come:

Once again corrected in the New King James version:

Eph 1:21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

Gal 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us From this present evil world, [Greek – Age “aion”] according to the will of God and our Father:

Once again corrected in the New King James version:

Gal 1:4 who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us From this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,

2Ti 4:10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, [Greek – Age “aion”] and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia

This time not corrected in the NKJV, but the Young’s Literal Translation correctly states:

2Ti 4:10 for Demas forsook me, having loved the present age, and went on to Thessalonica, Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia,

THE END OF THE AGE

Mat 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?[Greek – Age “aion”]

New King James:

Mat 24:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

1Co 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world [Greek – Age “aion”] are come.

Once again corrected in the New King James version…

1Co 10:11 Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

Heb 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: [Greek – world “Kosmos”] but now once in the end of the world [Greek – Age “aion”] hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Once again corrected in the New King James version:

Heb 9:26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

In one verse of scripture, Heb 9:26, we see there is a beginning, a foundation and also an end of the ages. So, we can see that the Holy scriptures speak of ages/aions as having a beginning and an end.

Let us look at our starting scripture again from a few other translations that translate the word aionios properly, which all means judgment during the ages.

Heb 6:2 of the teaching of baptisms, of laying on also of hands, of rising again also of the dead, and of judgment age-during, Young’s Literal Translation

Heb 6:2 of the teaching of baptizings, besides the imposition of hands, and the resurrection of the dead, and of judgment eonian.” Concordant Literal Version

Heb 6:2 Of immersions—in respect of teaching, and of the laying on of hands, of the resurrection of the dead, and of judgment age-abiding; Rotherham’s Emphasized Bible

To conclude this section, eternal, from forever AND ever, everlasting, world without end and all other words translated from the single word aion ALWAYS pertain to an age, with a certain beginning and a certain end. Aionian judgment means AGE-LASTING, pertaining to a period of time; or else, when will judgment begin if it is “eternal”? When will judgment end if it is “eternal”? When will punishment for crimes, verdicts and sentencing, etc. commence, and when will those involved, witnesses, prosecutor, solicitor, judge, etc. go home if it is “eternal”? We are told in Heb 5:12 to 6:1 that we must be “leaving“ these basic principles which include “eternal Judgment”. This is impossible and contradictive if judgment is “eternal”, but true if we understand it as the Holy Spirit of God intends it to mean, age-lasting; then the Scripture will greatly open up to our understanding. With those truths and new foundations in mind, let us look closer at age-lasting judgment and first ask:

WHAT IS JUDGMENT?

It is an ability to make a decision, a verdict, especially in matters relating to and affecting an action.  In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word is MISHPAT, from Strong’s H4941, which simply means “a verdict”. Any verdict can be in favour or unfavourable to the one being judged, so as with anything in Scripture, there is a positive and negative to the word. The Greek word is a little bit more diverse, all based and prefixed with ”kri”, and conveys meaning from crisis, undergoing a trial, a period of intense scrutiny out of which a sentence, a verdict, a decision comes out of it. The decision can be in favour of the accused, ending in a favourable verdict, or ending as an unfavourable verdict unto condemnation of the one being judged.

THE JUDGE

Although the milk doctrines cover six different areas, each one entails a degree of judgment and each step involves us making some kind of decision and being judged. There is only one Judge who is going to bring all judgment and verdicts through one Lord Jesus Christ:

Heb 12:23  To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

All that the Father of Spirit does is through the only begotten son, One Lord Jesus Christ;

1Co 8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

1Co 8:6  But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

Act 10:38  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. …

Act 10:42  And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

2Ti 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

The relationship between the Father and the Son Jesus Christ in judgment is that the Father does all only THROUGH Jesus Christ, as it is written:

Joh 5:27 And hath given him [Jesus Christ] authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man . . .

But is that authority and judgment independent of the Father? Is being “given” a position, an office of judgment suggestive of doing what one wants, judging out of one’s own ideas, principles and own witness? The Lord answers us:

Joh 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; [why is it just?] because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

Joh 5:31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.

Joh 5:32 There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.  [who is that?]

Joh 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

Yes, the Father judges us through his Son who He sends to us at His appointed time. It must be known from early on that ALL God’s ways are judgment, bringing his creation into a process of time, an age that we are continuously under judgment:

Deu 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

A sane and understanding King Nebuchadnezzar pays his respect and witnesses also:

Daniel 4:37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

THE GOD OF JUDGMENT AND HIS WAYS

At times in our lives we ask ourselves and others when we are facing difficult times, being weary in our walk or seeing calamities and evils within and around us, “where is this God of judgment”?

Mal 2:17 Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?

The God of judgment has always been around us and is continuously given us examples of his judgments, which at first we may not perceive or understand. As we learned in the Revelation studies, types and shadows, examples of spiritual reality are always being given to us to admonish us.

For example, the first judgment God made was to Mankind in Adam where a trial was held and a verdict was given after the disobedience of Adam where a sentence was meted out. This was the first judgment in scripture given as an example to us all. There have been several other judgments meted out to Man since Adam and the next big example of judgment was executed against the whole earth, as in the flood of Noah, (Genesis 6-8). Water was used in this case, and later on great judgment was executed against the land of Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities about them using Fire. (See Jud 1:7 notice again “eternal Fire” in King James version should have been translated age-lasting fire, that had a beginning and an end, as there is no literal, physical fire still burning in Sodom and Gomorrah!)

In all the examples given, there is a beginning and an end, and God through the Lord Jesus Christ brings every work into Judgment at his appointed time. There is a time which the Judgment of God is manifest to whom he wants to deal with in righteousness, and there is a time which it is still hidden from the sight of man.

Nevertheless, at all times he is working judgment in the whole earth in his order:

Ecc 3:1 To every thing [the judgment of God] there is a season, and a time to every purpose [the judge to begin judging] under the heaven:

As you can see above, the timing and duration of judgment is very important in Scripture, hence we had to deal with the translation of aion in a little more detail. We are told again…

Ecc 8:6  Because to every purpose there is time and judgment therefore the misery of man is great upon him.

The event in these judgments has an appearance of great misery; not to be looked forward to! It is a very fearful time upon the inhabitants of the earth and nations God executes judgments against, and He is destined to bring all His creation into judgment, for that is His mode of operation.

Ecc 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

However, God’s judgments are always in truth, righteousness and uprightness:

Psa 9:8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

Psa 98:9 Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

Psa 119:39 Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.

Psa 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

And with many other verses in the Old Testament declaring the Lord’s way in judgments, we have apostle Paul reminding us that;

Rom 2:2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

Moses was appointed to judge the people (Exo 18:13) and was also given the Law and statutes for judging a neighbor. These were all written for our admonition (1Co 10:11), and the examples of the penalty given for the guilty was always DEATH.

Deu 17:12  And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the LORD thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil From Israel.

Apostle Paul repeats:

Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

WHY DESTRUCTIONS AND DEATH IN THE JUDGMENTS OF GOD

As newborn babes, even as obedient children, we first have to understand the age-lasting purpose of God and what is the outcome of his Judgments. Without this, our view of the work God is doing in us and in those to come will be subject to evil murmurings, even to the point of hating God in hopelessness! The age-lasting purpose of the Father is set in Christ Jesus;

Eph 3:11 According to the eternal [age-lasting] purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

. . . and this purpose is to . . .

Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Eph 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

Eph 1:10  That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

THERE IT IS! God the Father is gathering together ALL in himself, which is IN Christ. That is the end goal, the “fulness of times” aim. All his Sons and daughters in Adam are to be in Him. This is not a few seconds prayer event, nor a call to the altar emotional event, but a plan that spans a period of time known only to God. There is a FULLNESS of time and END of time where this purpose will be achieved and fulfilled by Jesus Christ and delivered to the Father. How does this relate to the judgment of God? We learned in the Revelation study, “Faith Toward God”, that the end is for us all to be of ONE MIND, ONE HEART and ONE BODY. All this will be achieved through one way, which is through the Age-Lasting Judgment process of God by Jesus Christ the judge of all.

Ecc 8:6 Because to every purpose (desire, delight) there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him.

Ecc 8:7 For he knoweth not that which shall be: for who can tell him when it shall be?

WHEN SHALL IT BE?

There are many false teachings about when the judgment day will come. Here is what the scriptures teaching regarding the matter.

1Pe 4:17  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Mat 24:36  But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Judgment will come to all men, but there is an order in which it will happen, first starting at the house of God, which the scriptures call the first fruits. We do not know when our appointed time will be until it is upon us.

1Co 15:22  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

1Co 15:23  But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

We must rely upon the truth of the scriptures as revealed by the Spirit and not on the “wisdom of men”.

1Co 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

1Co 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Let us bear in mind what we have learned from previous milk doctrines. This will help us to understand the process of judgment and how we are to be judged in our lives.  We are first kept under the Law, concluded in sin, under ‘schoolmasters’ and ‘guardians’.

Gal 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

Gal 3:23 But before faith came [faith of God’s elect] we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

At this point, we are as an unborn baby in our mother’s womb. Before we were born again and started to be fed with the pure spiritual milk that we are now drinking, we were in times past in the relative ease and comfort that is the darkness of our mother’s womb, which is the denomination and sect of Christianity we were first called into when we were followers of Christ in the flesh;

Gal 1:13  For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

Gal 1:14 And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

Gal 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me From my mother’s womb, [your old faith/religion of the many called] and called me by his grace,

At this time, we have zero comprehension or understanding of the true God let alone his righteous judgments.  We were still in darkness as opposed to being born into the light, still in the blackness of darkness that is lack of knowledge, a carnal, natural mind, not yet born into Life, thus we were during this time abiding where the scripture calls “Death” (Rom 8:6). We are under the spirit of the “Pharisees and Scribes” of old, great in the letters of Scriptures, but having no spiritual comprehension, thus at this point we understood NOT the judgments of God. All things that pertain to “age-lasting judgment” of God is first hidden from us through lack of understanding, and not having been given the Spirit to seek the Lord in truth and righteousness, thus we pass over true Judgment in our congregations;

Mat 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, [what are the weightier matters?]  judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Luk 11:42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Pro 28:5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.

We understand the parables of our Lord with a carnal mind, and either think we are not supposed to judge false doctrine, or we judge wrongly.

Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Often the second verse here is never read and therefore we do not judge. Yet the second verse is so important because it calls out the hypocrite, and we will be judged by the standard we judge others.

Mat 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

The point is we will be judged. When taking the sum of God’s word into account we will ultimately be judged by God’s standard, true, righteous and complete judgment.

At this point we hate God’s judgments and may not even realize it. We may think that we are serving God, much like the apostle Paul on his way to kill Christians in the name of God (Acts 22). It was revealed to Paul that it was actually Jesus Christ that he was persecuting. At this point in our walk we are blind to the truth. This is how the Lord will respond to us at that point:

Mat 7:22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

By misunderstanding God’s Judgments, we are fractured into thousands of denominations and sects, not knowing that the function and purpose of God’s judgments are to bring us into one-ness with God. We therefore remain under the “shadows of death” until the Spirit of the true Judge comes to us. We are reserved in this dark place that is the carnal mind, the blackness of darkness, under the Law, in a prison of our natural ways and carnal decision making, walking after the flesh, making judgments after physical sight and appearance and natural perceptions, with man’s wisdom.

Joh 8:15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man [after the flesh!].

2Co 5:16  Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

At this time, we appoint judges that judge after the flesh both in our governments and in our churches, even as Israel wanted Saul to be their King. Like all nations upon the earth, we judge after the flesh, respecters of persons, taking rewards and bribes in judgment and for personal gain.

Isa 1:23 Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.

Jer 5:26 For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

Jer 5:27 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

Jer 5:28 They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.

Mic 3:11  The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.

These verses are speaking of today’s churches. Many churches literally take tithes for rewards and do not preach the truth of the scriptures. No one would tithe if the truth were spoken in these churches. The Truth is hidden from them at this point as a part of God’s plan.

At this point, we are all still under sin, in the blackness of darkness, pending revelation of the righteous judgment of God through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We are told exactly where those that lead us and we that follow such judgments are at this time:

Mat 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The weeping and gnashing of teeth begins when judgment comes upon us.

2Pe 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, [means judgment is not delayed, it is ready to be judged] and their damnation slumbereth not.
2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

The word Angel in the Greek and Hebrew both mean messenger. This is not only a spiritual being as we have been often taught, but rather can refer to any messenger, which amounts to a prophet or teacher in the scriptures.

Greek (G32 – aggeios
Hebrew (H4397) – mal’ak

2Pe 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2Pe 2:2  And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

We have been these false teachers and have been or will be judged for our false teachings. We have also followed the wisdom of men and believed the lies of the false teachers in the world and in the churches.

2Pe 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
2Pe 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh [you and I in our time and season] in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. presumptuous are they, self-willed [when we all had doctrine of ‘freewill’ in our hearts] they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

At this time, there is no true judge to judge our falsehoods and false teachings in the name of Jesus Christ, we are very stubborn and stiff-necked, we do our own things and therefore divide into many divisions…

Jdg 2:19  And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, [no judgment being brought forth] that they returned, and corrupted themselves more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not From their own doings, nor From their stubborn way.

This is when we are all walking after the flesh, when the true spiritual ruler and judge is yet to appear, and we are surrounded and led by so many false brethren coming with the name of Christ, thus judging wrongly all the time in the sight of God;

Hab 1:4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.

As apostle Peter said, we are “cast them down to hell, Greek: Tartaroo. deepest part of darkness, the realm of the invincible, within us, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.” Contrary to our old faith in the wisdom of men, the word translated  here as Hell is where we are rightly held, which is the spiritual abode of Death, and he that has the power of death, that is the carnal mind, and all those with a “body of death”, and that loves not their brothers are first held.

1Jn 2:11  But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes..

2Pe 2:4  For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell (G5020- tartaroo), and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

The evil men of this world, which we all are and are now forsaking, do not understand anything about judgment, let alone the place we are kept before being judged. It is all hidden from their sight as these are the secrets of God, hidden within the heart of Man.

Pro 28:5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.

The apostle Jude gives a second witness where we are kept before Judgment:

Jud 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation he hath reserved in everlasting  [age-lasting] chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Angels who keep not their first estate and leave their habitation are messengers that do not obey the commandments of God.

Psa 97:2  Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.

2Ch 29:6 For our fathers have trespassed, and done that which was evil in the eyes of the Lord our God, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces FROM the habitation of the LORD, and turned their backs.

We are given the commandments of God when we go into the church, but we cannot keep them within our hearts and minds. We are like the Pharisees that clean only the outside of the cup, while within we are full of wickedness (Luk 11:39) Christ says that we cannot even be angry with our brothers without a cause or look on a woman to lust; the standard for obedience is far above what we are able to do in the flesh (Matthew 5).

Leaving the commandments of God is what eventually causes us to see our sin and repent, which is the first of the milk doctrines in Hebrews 6. http://iswasandwillbe.com/Milk_repentance.php.

While we are kept, reserved in darkness, we continue to speak folly of what we understand not, even as Job, and are banished in this realm that is spiritually called Death, imprisoned as a prisoner of the King.

Job 35:14  How much less when you say you do not see Him! Judgment is before Him; you are waiting for Him.

Job 35:15  And now, because His anger has not visited, and He does not recognize stupidity,

Job 35:16  even Job opens his mouth in vanity; he multiplies words without knowledge.

Ezra 7:26  And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, [how?] whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.

In summary, we are held in “chains of darkness” which is the carnal mind void of spiritual understanding. We are trapped in this carnal and blinded mind until the righteous judgment of God begins to reveal the truth to us. We do not know when this judgment will begin until it is upon us.

BANISHED INTO DEATH BEFORE JUDGMENT BEGINS

As we have seen above, we are first banished, confined or imprisoned in chains in a realm that is known as  ‘death’, banished in trespasses and sins, even as all in Adam (flesh) are first held in death. This is the necessary first step before the true judgment of God begins in our lives, according to this word and principle;

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

We were appointed, banished to death by nature and reason of being in Adam:

1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Being in death produces the fruits and works of death;

Eph 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Eph 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

All while in a dying body of flesh and blood…called ‘death’……

Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me From the body of this death?

This is all and one the same thing in the Spirit as being in darkness, abode of hell, in disobedience committing sins as it is written;

Luk 1:79 To give light [Jesus Christ is the Light of the world John 11:9, John 8:12,] to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Joh 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

Eph 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

[what was happening in this darkness? see Ephesians 2:1-3 above and Titus 3:3 below..]

1Jn 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

1Jn 2:10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

1Jn 2:11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

Joh 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Being in darkness, being in death is…

Paul writes:

Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Rom 8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Tit 3:3  For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. [hating one another is abiding in death 1 John 3 describes below]

Peter writes:

1Pe 4:3  For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries!

John writes:

1Jn 1:6  If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

1Jn 2:11  But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

1Jn 3:14 We know that we have passed From death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

Peter reminds us who and where this darkness and blindness is in the Spirit;

2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels [Gk: ‘messengers’ of God, verse 10] that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

2Pe 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

2Pe 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh [you and I in our time and season!] in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, [when we all had doctrine of ‘freewill’ in our hearts] they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

2Pe 2:17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. [for ever = Greek: aion, for the age]

So being chained in darkness, in death, banished in a spiritual realm called hell, walking after the flesh is the pre-requisite for all judgment of God. It is also at that time, while we were dead in trespasses and sin that the gospel is first preached to us, and the word of God is preached while we dwelt under the shadow of death that is our old ministers and pastors under the Law in the orthodox Christian churches.

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Rom 8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

1Pe 4:6 For this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, [you and I as Paul and Peter described above] that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

THE PLACE OF JUDGMENT

The judgment will take place where the judge enters, which is within God’s people.

Rom 8:9  But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you, Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Eph 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Gal 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

To the Son has been committed all judgment, and when He comes to the realm of our time, in this earthen body of clay of our minds and heart, then judgment is said to begin. The Lord comes into the darkness of our fleshly heart in great light and for a duration of time. From when he begins until judgment is finished in us is what is scripturally known as “age-lasting judgment.” Since the flesh cannot abide ‘forever’, the judgment is for an appointed period of time.

ORDER OF JUDGMENT

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; [the Head] afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. [His Body]

Christ starts with the first fruits of his creation, which are his elect, a few chosen in all generations. They are granted the honor of being the first to be judged in the flesh, because they are the first for the true gospel to be preached to; they are the first to hear the secrets of the kingdom of God. These are they that first trusted in Christ in hearing the word of truth, as opposed to the many followers of all generations who are still banished in darkness, walking and living in blindness in the realm of death. The Gospel is, was and will be preached to both groups, but is of great profit to a few chosen because their ears and eyes are opened, being mixed with the faith of Jesus Christ.

Heb 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: [the rest of Israel, God’s many called]  but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Many are called and the Gospel preached to them, but all are spiritually dead at first.

1Pe 4:6 For this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, [you and I as Paul and Peter described above] that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

Mat 13:2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

But few are chosen and FIRST given spiritual sight and ears to hear the Gospel…

Mat 13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou [the Gospel..] unto them [them of verse 2, “the whole multitude” gathering unto Christ in all generations] in parables?

Mat 13:11 He answered and said unto them, because it is given unto you [symbolic 12 apostles, elect of Christ in all generations] to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Eph 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: [”the gospel preached, as well as unto them] in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Jas 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

The rest of uncalled mankind, and the great multitude gathering unto Christ in the flesh, will be judged at a later judgment day called the great white throne judgment. This is dealt with in more detail in the stronger meat of God’s word and the Revelation studies. In the meantime, the rest of mankind are yet blinded being banished to darkness, in a spiritual realm called death, the flesh, imprisoned in a very dark place called hell, or Greek ‘Hades’, in Hebrew ‘Sheol’, all fallen into the deep pit to be redeemed and judged at a later time, which in the mind of Christ, is all one and the same thing, all in sleep of ‘Death’.

Psa 139:8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, [to sleep!] behold, thou art there.

Psa 13:3 Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

We are not talking about physically sleeping.  The Lord tells us plainly;

Joh 11:11  These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

Joh 11:12  Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.

Joh 11:13  Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.

Joh 11:14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

So the rest are at this time still blinded, sleeping, the gospel is hid, yet to be judged:

2Co 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, [therefore are still in darkness, where we all first are] lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

This is also the spiritual realm from which God’s few elect are chosen. .

2Co 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, [Not somebody else, but your heart, if so be you are granted to hear the Gospel] to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

ALL is within the heart the darkness, the place it is, hell, the prison, death etc, all within the Heart.

Rom 10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down From above:)

Rom 10:7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? [this deep is where we are banished in darkness, the pit in hell, the place of the spiritually dead]  (that is, to bring up Christ again From the dead.)

Rom 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

If you are being granted to hear the Gospel and first to believe it, then you must henceforth believe that all that you read in the Holy Scriptures is not for someone else or someplace else or some other time, but all the words is in “even in thy mouth, and in thy heart:”

THE DAY OF JUDGMENT, THE COMING OF THE JUDGE

To Jesus Christ has been committed all judgment. So at his appointed time, he comes within his chosen, his first fruits to do only one thing…

Joh 5:22  For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

Joh 9:39  And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. [when Lord?]

Joh 12:31  Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

The Lord chooses a few to save the many. He is working with his elect now, and will eventually save everyone.

Mat 22:14  For many are called, but few are chosen.

Joh 6:70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

1Co 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

1Co 1:27 But God hath chosen [Greek: to select, chosen] the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

1Co 1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

The Lord brings a sword and fire to carry out judgment.

Mat 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Mal 3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:

Mal 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

Luk 12:49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

Recall what the Sword and the Fire means, which are both one and the same thing; judgment by the word of God.

Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Jer 5:14 Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

Jer 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Here is what the word and fire accomplish.

Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Judgment by Christ with his glittering Sword and consuming Fire begins in his Elect, now!

1Pe 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

Here is that “strange thing”.

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come [the age is come…] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Recall that those who obey not the gospel of God at this time are still reserved in darkness. Our Judgment begins while they are still banished in ‘hell’ for the time being as we once were, but they have an “end” coming to them also. At this time, they that are not chosen or called are judged in type and shadow by the authorities God has appointed to punish evil doers. Human courts, police departments, etc. (see Rom 13:1-7 and 1Pe 2:13-17)

Since Apostle Peter covers Judgment much in his epistles, he tells us where this judgment starts, where we are called from;

1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness [to where?] into his marvellous light:

2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels [Gk: ‘messengers’ of God, v.10] that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

2Pe 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: [which begins at us]

2Pe 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh [you and I in our time and season, judgment begin at us..] in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, [when we all had doctrine of ‘freewill’ in our hearts, judgment of that false doctrine has begun…] they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

2Pe 2:17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.[Greek: aion…for the age, its not forever because judgment has begun with us. The spirit of the Judge is now come within.]

HOW CHRIST’S JUDGMENT IS ACCOMPLISHED IN US

1Co 11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, [WHY?] that we should not be condemned with the world.

There it is! You and I have been sleeping before judgment comes upon us.

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

1Pe 4:6 For this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, [you and I – for what reason Peter?] that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

We were appointed to this sleep, but the darkness of the night is passing, and the morning and the day star is now here to wake us up. The Sun is now shining to get us out of bed!

When the judgment of the Lord does come, we are awakened from our sleep in hell by being given a good chastening, a reprimand, a reprove, a rebuking and an affliction and just about anything in the hand of the Lord to wake us up out of this deep sleep of death. Nobody likes being rudely awakened out of their sleep, especially if they have been having a good dream, that is, a pleasant, carnal life in this world. Things are about change.

Our natural self does not like being chastened, as it’s not much fun or joy to our flesh. Chastening is a major part of this righteous Judgment of the Lord, but our flesh does not like this at all.. To qualify as sons and daughters of God, chastening and scourging are a necessity that we may be partakers of all that is in God through the appointed Judge, Christ Jesus.

Heb 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
Heb 12:7 If ye endure chastening, [unto the end!] God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Heb 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers [all me] then are ye bastards, and not sons. [but not all men are being chastened, judged of the Lord in this age.]

Being chastened and judged by the Lord is grievous to the flesh…

Heb 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Being exercised with chastening of the Lord is what produces the fruit of righteousness in us. It produces this fruit because we must first know what is being judged within us, what defilements are being scourged and burnt by fire and destroyed by the Sword.

Mar 7:21 For From within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
Mar 7:22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
Mar 7:23 All these evil things come From within, and defile the man.

These are the fruits that are being produced when we walked after the flesh, in darkness:

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

It is through the Lord chastening us that we learn to forsake all unrighteousness that is sin. This process makes right what all that is wrong within us. It is this fiery process that we are conformed, configured into a vessel of honour, into the express image of the Lord Jesus Christ. Once judgment begins, we therefore are chastened and we begin to live a more Godly life in this age, not just in the future sometime, but now..

Tit 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Tit 2:12 Teaching [G3811, paideuō Chastening] us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world [Greek: in this present age]

As the writer of Hebrews tells us, the chastening is not joyous at all, but the outcome of it is the Joy of righteousness. The writer actually tells us it is PUNISHMENT to the flesh, an age-lasting punishment because our flesh is being destroyed by the Sword and burnt with the Fire that is God himself throughout the time/age we are being judged.

Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment [Greek: aonios, age-lasting punishment] but the righteous into life eternal.

“Into everlasting punishment” is into the Fire that burns throughout all the ages.

Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart From me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

Who is and what is that Fire that will judge and chasten us throughout the ages?

Heb 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

This is the age lasting punishment to our flesh and ungodly ways…

(MKJV) Heb 10:29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy of punishment, the one who has trampled the Son of God, and who has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
Heb 10:30 For we know Him who has said, “Vengeance belongs to Me, I will repay, says the Lord.” And again, “The Lord shall judge His people.”

The Lord shall judge his people. God willing we are chosen at this time to be his people, His Saints wherein He cometh to judge and punish our sins with Fire and through that, glorify us;

2Th 1:5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
2Th 1:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
2Th 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven [See article on “Where is Heaven”] with his mighty angels,
2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
2Th 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction [Gk: age-lasting destruction] From the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
2Th 1:10 When he shall come to [where is all this going to take place? Where is the Lord coming into?] be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

THE OUTCOME OF CHRIST’S JUDGMENT WITHIN US

Psalms 98:9 Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

The Lord has an end goal in his judgments of our ungodly ways. He has been commissioned by the Father to bring us back to Him, all one in Him, back to the realm of Life and righteousness. This is the age lasting purpose of God, and it is through these judgments that we will be saved from this ungodly world within our heart, and be redeemed from darkness and death that is our flesh. It is through age-lasting Judgment, chastening fire of God that we will be saved from Sin that dwells within our flesh.

Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:20 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me

The outcome of all judgments of all time:

Isa 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learnrighteousness.

This has a second witness in the New Testament;

Heb 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Joh 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: [for what reason Lord?

Why must we be judged? The Lord answers us:

Joh 5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

1Ki 3:9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

Jdg 2:18 And when the LORD raised them up judges, [God willing, we will be his Kings, Priests and Judges.] then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented the LORD because of their groanings by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them.

2Ch 6:23 Then hear thou From heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, by recompensing his way upon his own head; and by justifying the righteous, by giving him according to his righteousness.

At the end, we will learn to discern between spiritual good and evil, be true Sons of God and Genesis 3v22 be fulfilled in us. It is through this age lasting judgment we ourselves will be delivered From our great enemy, Sin that dwell within us, that we can live fully in the Spirit, as Apostle Peter, tells us;

Gen 3:22  And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

1Pe 4:6  For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but [for the ultimate outcome to]  live according to God in the spirit.

The prince of this world with all its false doctrines and deceptive ways of living Godly is and will be cast out of our heart as the Judge, Jesus Christ, is coming and increasing in us. This judgment once again is within our heart which directs our ways of living and knowledge of God. Once evil spirits such as hypocrisy is being cast out of us day by day, and our old man is perishing in the process, those few that are being overcomed of the Holy Spirit of God will then be ordained as judges of the second group of men, of those that are currently still reserved in the darkness of hell where we once were dwelling. We will be ordained judges of the age to come, if and only, we are being chastened to deny ungodliness at this present time, we are removing the beam in our eyes and ceasing from being hypocrites first;

Mat 7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye shalt thou see clearly [be in a position to judge others] to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

If we are given the desire at this time to be a “kind of first fruits” of God’s creatures, our primary emphasis and importance in this age is the judgment of our own household, our own body, what is within us, not somebody else. We hear or see an issue that needs correcting, and judgment must be executed speedily on all sins. If it’s fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, we hear of the matter first before casting any judgment, but judgment must be speedy, lest the leaven of sin leaven the whole lump in us.

1Co 5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

1Co 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away From among yourselves that wicked person. [that Old Man of sin within us all.]

Pro 18:13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, [Do not judge anything before  you know the truth and given power to execute judgment . . . wait for Christ, the truth to come first or else]  it is folly and shame unto him.

1Co 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, [Keep in mind where darkness is and all the scriptural words, parables, used to describe where we are first reserved before judgment?] and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

Then after we can see clearly, we will be given the high prize of being God’s Judges to “cast the mote out of our brother’s eyes”, that is to say:

1Co 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

1Co 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

“Things that pertain to this life” are inward sins within your body, the body of Christ.

No sane man has ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it. It is through this process of judging, chastening ourselves are we kept in the Love of God and also others we claim to love. This is what God’s love also accomplishes in his Body to keep us on the straight and narrow road of repentance.

Rev 3:19  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Heb 12:6  For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

There is an age to come during which all those that are not being judged at this time will be judged by God through his Body, the elect of all ages, so that righteousness will rule everyone.

Rev 20:4  And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Those that are “beheaded for Jesus” do not physically lose their head in most cases. There are some martyrs, but for us this is primarily saying that we must lose our first head “our carnal mind” through judgment, then we have a new head, the spiritual mind of Christ. With our new head we can rule and reign with Christ and be a part of taking the rest of the world through the same judgment we have already been through ourselves.

Luk 18:29  And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,

Luk 18:30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

Mat 16:25  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

In this life the elect who are judged will “lose their life”, that they might gain spiritual life. This means that whatever is an idol in our life, anything that comes before God, will be taken from us or put in its proper place. This does not mean that we all must sell every possession we have and live on the street preaching the gospel. This is about what is in our heart. We can have a home, a job, a family, a car, etc., the problem is when those things are not in their proper place in our lives. The physical circumstances are different for everyone but the result is the same, Christ being on the throne of our hearts and minds and God coming first.

What is our reward in this life for losing our old life?

We receive a new family, those who do the will of God, the body of Christ. It is such a wonderful thing for brothers to dwell together in unity. We dwell in UNITY because we all have the same mind of Christ.

Psa 133:1  A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Mar 10:30  But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

Mat 12:48  But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?

Mat 12:49  And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

Mat 12:50  For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Be encouraged, this is an amazing gift that you will enjoy if the Lord gives you the ability to endure the chastening and persecution.

The other reward is the fruit of the promise land, which is our own body and mind. Here is a list of those fruits. Notice JOY and PEACE, sounds pretty enjoyable doesn’t it?!

Gal 5:22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Gal 5:23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Gal 5:24  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

This peace is also present in our homes, dwelling places within us, after Christ has judged us and is ruling and guarding our hearts and minds. Christ is a strong man to protect us.

Isa 32:18  And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

Luk 11:21  When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

The elect have their eyes opened to know and understand what God is doing.

Eph 1:18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Eph 1:19  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Through Christ everything within us (heavenly places, in this world) and without (is to come) will one day be ruled by God.

Eph 1:20  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Eph 1:21  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, [Greek: aion, age.] but also in that which is to come:

The new world of righteousness and truth to come is now here in down payment earnest form in our hearts if Christ the Judge is being revealed in us. Knowing that there is an age to come, and if we are judged faithful we shall reign and be judges with Christ, should be a great inspiration for all, newborn babes, children, teenagers, and mature disciples of Christ.

CONCLUSION

The outcome of all God’s judgments through the Lord Jesus Christ is for us to come to learn righteousness and in doing so we bring honour to the Son and the Father. It is not just the first fruits that will be bestowed this honour of knowing and doing righteousness, but all men. This is covered in more details as we go on to the stronger meats of God’s word. But lest we forget, what about the rest of mankind and the great multitudes that are following Christ in the flesh still banished in the blackness of darkness, reserved in death in hell? Does God forget them and throw away the keys that open the door of hell into eternity? Why keys?

Rev 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

The judge only has the keys to open and release all hell’s prisoners, and it has many keys simply because there is a key for each one of us, every man that has ever lived must be made free by the Son, made free from death that is the carnal mind in this body of death.

Ezr 7:26  And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.

The judgment is all and one the same thing. It is one event. But it is through this judgment that God will make a way even to all our lost ones, uncalled or still walking after the flesh, in the age to come through us. God will bring everyone home, to himself!

1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

1Ti 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

Rom 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Yes even so….

1Co 15:22  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

All will be brought home through age-lasting Judgment by the Fire of God’s word….the means he has devised to fetch his banished, his dead sons, those poor with no goods and spiritual substance, the Lord’s prisoners in the flesh.

Ezr 7:26  And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.

2Sa 14:13 And the woman said, Wherefore then hast thou thought such a thing against the people of God? for the king doth speak this thing as one which is faulty, in that the king doth not fetch home againhis banished.

2Sa 14:14 For we must needs die, [” appointed for men to die once” ] and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; [Flesh & blood will not inherit the Kingdom of God – 1Co 15:50]neither doth God respect any person: yet doth he devise means, that his banished be not expelled From him.

Our King Jesus Christ is not slack nor does He have any fault in him. He will bring us all unto himself, not willing that any should perish, but all should be created new through his chastening fire of age-lasting Judgment.

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The apostle told us earlier what coming to repentance is:

1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

As God’s elect are given mercy through God’s judgments, in due time when judgment is committed to us, we will be returning the favour so to speak, and do likewise unto our neighbours and have mercy in judgment, bringing others into the righteousness and mind of God. Mercy in judgment makes the heart glad over merciless judgment. Eternal, unending woe and torment of Mankind in literal fire is ungodly and erroneous judgment only the carnal mind believe. Age-lasting Judgment by God’s consuming Fire however produces righteousness that triumphs over merciless judgment. For this cause, the apostle James admonishes us to;

Jas 2:12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.

 Jas 2:13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over [merciless] judgment. [NKJV]

Rom 11:30  For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

Rom 11:31 Even so have these also now not believed, [but are reserved in the blackness of darkness of hell, still in death before judgments, but in due time…] that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

Rom 11:32 For God [the Judge of ALL] hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

Rom 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, [God’s elects first in this age, then in the age to come the rest…] and his ways past finding out![The natural man will never understand !]

Pro 28:5 Evil men understand not judgment: [so who does?] but they that seek the LORD understand all things

1Co 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Anyone who is carnally minded (natural man) does not understand the milk doctrine of the age-lasting Judgment of God. The truth actually appears to be foolish at this time, until the judgment of the Lord comes upon us to renew our mind and reveal the truth.

As for now, as newborn babes becoming obedient children unto maturity, as we are brought deeper into the meat of God’s word, our prayer is for the Lord to grant us a spirit of boldness to be judged and judge others in our body righteously in this age that we may be perfected as He is perfect.

1Jn 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

GOD BLESS ALL IN THEIR WALK
